So, I kind of dropped off the face of the earth, didn’t I? Sorry about that. I did finish 50,000 words in November, but I had to sacrifice too much for it to happen, including an actual story. No, I ended up with 50,000 words of chaotic background — and the realization that (A) NaNoWriMo isn’t for me and (B) I need to stop kidding myself and stick to Historical Romance.
So, here’s the big news. I was accepted into the online Accountancy program through Southern Illinois University (SIU). Classes start in January. In order to keep up, I have to take 4 classes through SIU plus classes at Lincoln Land Community College (LLCC). I’m not terribly thrilled, while being ecstatic. I cannot wait to get back to school, and I cannot wait to be DONE.
Between work and school, I am looking at a hectic schedule in 2016, and so, sacrifices must be made. I’m not giving up this blog, nor will I be giving up my Channillo page, but I will be scaling back. I will be posting on Channillo every Monday and here, every Wednesday.
I have made only one writing commitment for 2016, and that is to finish Under the Mistletoe, including edits. To do so, I am going to follow the program Bryn Donovan is developing on her blog. And then, in 2017, I can repeat with the second book.
I look forward to an excellent 2016, and I hope you will join me.
As a last note, have you seen the Teatime Tattler today? I am the featured guest author! Let me tell you, this was fun! And nerve-wracking. I hope to do it again. And if you look, you will see that I committed to a publication in 2017.
Happy Wednesday, lovelies. ❤️❤️❤️
(I’m trying to get this to post on Facebook. Please forgive the constant “updates”.)
